Now my new host/guest/client (IDK what I mean lol) is running on 6144MB of ram and 4 threads just to test. vmdk virtualdisk plus it wasn't pre-allocated, it was dynamic. I remade the host since the first one that was running slow had a corrupted. SMP Allowed all apps to utilize all 24 threads on both CPU 1 & 2 so the apps see CPU 1 & 2 as just 1 CPU which resulted in tests to be at least 5 to 20% faster in some cases.Īnyway I went to the BIOS and have VT enabled direct VT Directed IO Optimization enabled. Meaning NUMA allocates threads of CPU 1 or 2 and each app only allowed to use up to 12 threads. I have it set to SMP since I saw gains in every test over NUMA and saw utilization across all 24 threads, rather than apps using only 12 threads. VMware's site has slow downloads so I used Majorgeeks link but also downloaded it from VMware directly. So for VMware do we consider the host being my main OS of Windows 10 圆4? VMware OS installs are called what Guest or Client or what? lol
